On July 22, a month after the posters were released, a trailer was released but was shortly taken down. The trailer was made in the mad hatter's point of view and it was removed because Disney claimed that the trailer was not meant to be aired yet. The following day, the teaser trailer premiered at the Comic-Con convention but the trailer shown was different than the one that leaked. This time, the trailer showed the clips in a different order than in the leaked version.
